Vaccination Registration

The South African Government is auctioning the second rollout of vaccination. The first phase of the vaccination targeted health care workers and now it is extending to the general public. Government is calling on and inviting Citizens who are 60 years and older to register for the second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination.

Government has incorporated a digital system for the public health campaign called Electronic Vaccination Data System’ (EVDS) to aid and manage the vaccination process. The system will identify a vaccination station close to the registered citizens’ home or work place and allocate accordingly. It is said that the quality of service employed will be same for public or private healthcare facilities.

While registration does not guarantee that there will be vaccination immediately, government is intent on the successful roll out of the second phase.
