LEVEL 1 BBEEE

In 2021 Lesedi Technical Engineering Consulting has been recertified for BBBEE Level 1 status. What this means is that we are contributing significantly towards economic transformation in South Africa, something we should be proud of as a company. In order to achieve Level 1 status there are specific areas of transformation that need to be fulfilled at the highest level and these include the following:

  • Ownership
  • Skills development
  • Enterprise and supplier development
  • Socio economic development

The above criteria is applied to the fulfilment of Level 1 for the Construction sector, while there are slight variations to this criteria across the various trade sectors. They are specifically classified to ensure that the transformation from BEEE is from the grass root levels and works itself into top structures. Each of the criteria/categories are further broken down into actionable contributions and weighted to give a score.

Upon tallying the scores from crite – ria achieving the required points puts you in the top contributing level and deems the company to have achieved Level 1 BBBEE status. At Lesedi Technical Engineering Consulting we pride ourselves in our BEEE status as it speaks to what we stand for as a company.

We are serious about the skills development and the effective participation of black people in the South African economy. We do our best to ensure black people not only have the opportunity, but can have a significant contribution in growing the South African economy. The impact of the Apartheid government sunk its claws very far deep into the country and we believe we have the responsibility of reversing the damage it has done to South African citizens of colour.

Being BEEE compliant comes with the benefits of engaging in exclusive business, which is the government incentive put forth to spark transformation. For us at Lesedi Technical it is something that exists beyond transactions and financial gain. We believe in lifting as we rise.

Benefits of B-BBEE
